In 1959 in a small attic, Henryk Janiak commenced to produce small metal accessories, as a one-man company”. At the beginning, he ordered galvanic coating from other companies, and then he started his own galvanizing plant.
Each year he increased the level of production and employment. In the 70. Metgalex was one of the first companies to obtain a concession for individual export. At the same time the profile of production changed from small accessories to more complex products, such as: metal furniture, racks and gas cylinder trolleys. Thanks to a high qualityof manufacture and prompt deliveries, the company started to export their products rather than produce for the domestic market.
